Ok, so let’s get started!
Lily was born on August 25, 2010. She was 7lbs 2.5oz and 20in long. From that day forward our lives changed. I went from being a server to a part time server to extended maternity leave and now…STAY AT HOME MOM!!! I can’t say that it’s an easy job. In fact from the moment I gave birth, it has been the hardest job I’ve ever had. Though it is also the best job I have ever had. Every morning I wake up to the most beautiful little sounds and when I stumble sleepily into her nursery she never fails to greet me with a big smile, even if it is shining through a hungry/wet cry. We spent our early days figuring things out and now I can honestly say I don’t remember what it was like for her not to be here. She has become the center of our world and the keeper of our hearts. I’ve never seen my fiancee so happy, worried, scared, excited, panicked, ecstatic, etc. Lily makes him want to be a better man. That used to be my job, but as they say when your partner gives birth, where there used to be one person that you loved more than anything in the world, there is now two. (I think we heard that at our childbirth class) Well, I think that’s a pretty good foundation for the changes that have occurred in the last six months. Now for the fun stuff!!!
